This great and interesting book, born of the exhibition project started at the Triennale of Milan, has to do with the European culture of living as evidenced by paradigmatic habitations, predominantly read on the scale of interiors. With an exhaustive iconographic set of images of simulated reconstruction with three-dimensional scale or virtual models, the book focus on the permanent values of European living trought the Twentieth century, as well as on the cultural foundations for its future development. An inter-university context that involved six of the most important European Architectural University, under the scientific direction of Gianni Ottolini, with the contribution of the E.U. Culture 2000 program, that underlines the relationship between the disciplines of Interiors Architecture, Furnishings and Industrial Design.
